Online Operations Manager, Web Content Manager/Editor - Leading News Publication - Online Community / Social Networking Channel Negotiable London - City
One of the UK's most recogniable news brands requires a web savvy Online Operations Manager, Web Content Manager/Editor to manage its online community / social networking channel.
The right individual will hit the ground running and will have the opportunity to help shape the role and its position within our overall online community strategy.
Online Operations Manager, Web Content Manager/EditorMain Duties:
Manage a team of Customer Interaction Executives (CIE) in their daily moderation and hosting functions.
Create, seed and manage online communities, promoting a great community buzz.
Manage the day-to-day running and updating of abuse and customer response related community tools and oversee bug reports through to resolution.
Maintain a close relationship with the Customer Liaison team, ensuring that we clearly understand their requirements, and comply with their processes.
Work with internal and external legal teams to ensure we comply with all relevant legislation.
Work closely with the Community Product Manager, providing input, resource and procedural assistance during all phases of the product implementation life cycle.
Own and document our operational processes, maintaining best practice standards.
Train the CIEs and put together a quality control program. Work closely with the Community Editor to ensure that editorial activities are fully coordinated with our operational processes.
Be a stakeholder in the community development roadmap process.
Online Operations Manager, Web Content Manager/EditorKey skills and experience
Must have
A good understanding of Internet technologies. (Web 2.0) An understanding of Social Networking / Online Community models Ability to manage others in a responsible, mature and diplomatic way. Experience of moderation and abuse management. A good degree of familiarity with UK culture and colloquial English. Some experience of QA/ UAT testing and product development would be advantageous. Attributes Flexible working attitude and a can-do approach. Ability to work unsupervised. Diplomatic flair and a mature outlook. Additional requirements
